Motif drawing to a Perl/Tk canvas?

Has anyone done this? I have an old Motif program that makes some nice graphics, and I'd prefer not to rewrite it. Rather, to update the application, I'd like to fire up an external Perl/Tk program and have Motif draw in there, on the Tk Canvas, then use the Perl/Tk interface to manipulate the graphical data.

Hello, I am a college student and recently I have been taking a training of canvas art. I am totally new in this work. Once I had heard about Perl and Tk canvas but i don't understand that what was the meaning of the terms. And now I am reading this on this post. Can any one please tell in details. Any helpful discussion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
