As most of you probably know, many Linux distributions
have aggresivley switched the default filesystem to UTF-8 encoding.
There are no transcoding tools, no libraries which would
help poor programmers to convert strings among those encodings
(other than heavyweight libXML).
Before I dive into experimenting with UTF-8 with OpenMotif 2.3,
did somebody try to use it in an actual application (not just proof
of concept demos)?
For example, very real world problem - does FileSelectionBox show
files in UTF-8 encoding, or is there some resource which will trigger
this behavior?
Thanks in advance,
Dusan Peterc
